About EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), is a therapy developed to help treat distress caused by traumatic memories and events. It has been found to be particularly helpful in treating PTSD, and as much of our emotional distress comes from traumatic events and experiences, it can also be a useful tool in treating a variety of other symptoms and disorders. The EMDR technique has a way of helping individuals to turn off their thinking brain while enhancing access to their subconscious. It facilitates getting deep into the core of one's issues and can often provide faster results. It allows individuals to tap into their healthiest selves and come up with their own best solutions to the issues they are facing. I am always amazed at the inner wisdom revealed in the EMDR process. Together we can consider whether EMDR is right for you.
